Amazing roast duck noodle soup for $16. Probably the most duck I've had in a soup so this was a great deal. They used lots of meat in their rib chow fun and it was decent. Loved their snow peas and mushrooms dish. They made an excellent fermented rice dessert that we came back for later just for those .

I would say this place is decent but more like 3.5 stars. Quality is there but don't upgrade to fried rice for $3 unless you think soy sauce and a lil egg is worth it. No added protein or veggies in the fried rice add on. I've upgraded twice, first time was egg fried rice not much soy sauce. Today was lots of soy sauce and hardly any egg.

We ordered a plethora of food including Steam fish, broccoli + beef, chicken and veggies and the #3 appetizer.. All food was ok, however the STEAM FISH WAS TOO DIE FOR.. amazing.. amazing.. amazing... Skip the #3 appetizer, it's like a fried wonton with shu mai filling.. ours was over cooked Service: average at best Ambiance: no ambiance, seems to be more a of a takeout place.. average ambiance for whole in the wall Chinese food restaurant

4.5 stars. First time at this restaurant. Came on a Friday night at 7:30pm. It has large windows to see into the restaurant from the outside. A decent sized restaurant in a little plaza in Ewa Beach. Their AC is very effective. Bring a jacket for those that don't like the cold. I first noticed the towers of large tray-type boxes for take-out orders along one side of the wall. We made reservations, but when we got here, it didn't seem like it would be necessary as it was pretty vacant. One in our party informed us that they do get busy, and a reservation is ideal, especially if ordering from the set menu. They can prep ahead, which leads to an expedited serving of dinner. While eating, I did notice that there was a steady stream of people picking up phone orders. This place is pretty popular. We ordered set E and added a few dishes to it. Once we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. We waited a few minutes for everyone to arrive, and once everyone was present, we informed them they could begin dinner. The soup came out immediately. Once the soup was dispensed into bowls, five of the dishes were on the table. All the other dishes came out quickly after that. That was the fastest I have had a set-course meal served. This is nice bc you can eat all of the dishes you ordered and not have gotten yourself full before the last dishes come out. My fave dish of the ten we had would, hands down, be the honey walnut shrimp. They fried it beautifully. Just the right amount of batter coating with the perfect amount of mayo sauce on the shrimp they thoroughly tossed for even coating. Taste of Hong Kong does a fantastic job on this dish. It was foodgasmic good. The walnuts were nicely glazed and crunchy. It might be the best honey walnut shrimp I have had anywhere. Some of the other dishes were ok to good. My least favorite would be the black bean clams bc the black bean flavor is very strong and a bit too salty. My boys loved the hong kong style beef tenderloin and steamed fish. Both are very tender and flavorful. Assorted seafood and tofu soup 4/5 Salt and pepper pork chops 4/5 Steamed fish fillet with ginger and green onion 5/5 Clams with black bean sauce 3/5 Abalone with black mushrooms and vegetables 4/5 Hong kong style beef tenderloin 5/5 Assorted seafood and garlic fried rice 3.5/5 Peking duck with buns 4.5/5 Crispy gau gee mein 4.5/5 Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I will be back the next time a honey walnut shrimp craving arises.
